Listed as the least concern by IUCN and common in Asian countries, Mandarin Duck, an amazingly beautiful Duck, with its striking colourful plumage, is a rare species in Nepal and considered as vagrant species. This year in Jan 2020, this species has been recorded in 3 spots- Chitwan, Biratnagar and the 3rd was in Marsyangdi
